Comedian Geechy Guy to Perform at Jokers April 17
Cedar Falls – Geechy
Guy, a regular and favorite on The Bob & Tom Show, will perform at Jokers
Comedy Club on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. The show is part of an expansive
national tour called ÒEvery Station in the Nation,Ó during which the comedian
will visit every city in which the syndicated morning radio show is played. The
show is presented by Jokers and 97.7 KCRR, the Cedar ValleyÕs Bob & Tom
affiliate.
Guy,
a Rochester, Minn., native, began his career in the Midwest over two decades
ago. He went on to make over 75 national television appearances including three
on ÒThe Tonight ShowÓ with Jay Leno. He also beat Ray Romano (among others), to
become the all-time ÒStar SearchÓ comedy champ with 10 appearances. He then
traveled for 6 years with the legendary ÒRighteous BrothersÓ as their opening
act on several national tours and in Las Vegas. He is fresh off the heels of
his award winning one-man show, ÒThe Geechy Guy Happy Hour,Ó which enjoyed a
three-year run at several casinos throughout Nevada.
Known
for his quick wit and off-the-wall observations, Guy was labeled Òbrilliantly
offbeat,Ó and Òthe new king of the one-liners,Ó by Las VegasÕ largest daily
newspaper. Another comedy veteran, Rufus, will open for Guy. Tickets are $10.
