Jokers Introduces
Smoke-Free Comedy Fridays

Falls – Beginning Friday, July 14, 2006, Jokers Comedy Club will offer
smoke-free stand-up comedy shows. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Friday night,
smoking will be prohibited in JokersÕ main building. Show time is 8 p.m.
Jokers
features nationally touring, live comedians every Friday and Saturday night.
After two decades of offering the Cedar Valley the only live comedy
entertainment in the area, management has decided to offer a smoke-free
performance in order to attract a broader non-smoking audience.

had several requests from guests over the years to offer a smoke-free show,Ó
says JokersÕ owner Darin Beck.
Booking
agent Ken Muller, owner of Comedy Productions, based in Sioux City, has booked
comedians for Barmuda since its inception. ÒNon-smoking shows are a national
trend thatÕs really gaining popularity,Ó Muller says. ÒMany comedy fans are
non-smokers, and clubs that offer both smoking and non-smoking shows are very
successful.Ó
Smoking will still be allowed in JokersÕ
pool room and outdoor Beer Garden during designated non-smoking hours. Visit
